The only goal of the game was engineered by the Midland goalkeeper, Nick Boudouris, who booted the ball past the halfway line for Andy Monroe to fasten on to. Wasting no time, he first- timed it into the net for the game winning goal. The win was a morale- booster for the Midland kickers, who have been off song for the past three games. Although missing a few star players, the rest of the team picked its game up a few notches to ensure the win. Dave Campbell gave his shooting boots a Jays at New York Jays at Kansas City Jays at Chicago rest for this game. It was one of the few games that Campbell has failed to score. The win was the ninth in 13 contests for the local squad - along with four losses and a tie which puts them in a first place tie in the standings with Orillia Queens. Both teams now have 19 points but Orillia sports two games in hand.
