In round robin play, MSS defeated the even- tual champions two straight games. The ag- gressive blocking and net play of Mike Larmand and Bob Dundas, com- bined with strong hitting by John Gibson, led to the victory. In its next outing, MSS fell flat, losing to In- nisdale 15-6. Bill Meridis and Gary McPhee paced the Marauders to a se- cond game victory before Innisdale rebounded for a 16-14 win in the finale. To gain the finals, MSS faced Barrie North. After 15 minutes the game was tied at two. Barrie North pulled ahead 10-5 but Midland, led by Gibson and Meridis, recovered for the win.
