Friday night the Cents rocked Huntsville Blair McCanns 9-4 in Centen- nial Arena, defeated In- nisfil 5-3 on the road Saturday and skated to a 5-3 victory over Parry Sound Brewers _ at Centennial Arena Sunday. On Friday Midland led 2-0 on markers from newcomer Rob Fortin and Guy Jeannotte in the opening period only to have Huntsville tie~ the score. Mike Larmand counted twice within 90 seconds late in the period to put Midland ahead. In the second period, the Cents' Trevor Irvine scored back-to-back tallies, the second with a man advantage. Leading 6-3 entering the final 20 minutes against the league leaders, Midland had goals from Ted French and Dave Forrest before Huntsville tallied its final marker. Jeff Doughty, Jeff Suave and Darryl King each recorded a brace for Midland with singles coming from Chuck Ken- ny and Chris Nadon. The next night Midland travelled to Collingwood for an 8-1 win. Nadon and Sauve registered a pair while Chris Bell, Doughty, King and Court- ney Elliott added singletons. Meridis an all-star of Midland Minor Hockey before becoming _a standout for the Midland Junior C Stoneleigh Centennials. Meridis celebrated by popping three goals Fri- day night in a league fix- ture against Richmond Hill Dynes. Orillia won that contest 10-5. The hat trick brought Meridis out of a short scoring slump.
