Atwood Juniors journeyed to Lis- towel on Wednesday evening of last week and played the second teague game with the juniors of that town. It was expected that the Listowel boys would give our team a much closer game than when they played here, but such was not the case. The game was mostly alk Atwood, the visiting defence being able to keep the Listowel forwards a safe distance away from the goal. The Atwood team had several new men on the line-up, viz: Everett Coghlin on the right wing and 'little Ernie Anderson, of Donegal, on the left. Both lads made good by doing some swift playing. Henderson Robb, scored one of the goals and Ernie Anderson the secon}. Listowel fail- ed to score. The referee was from d| Chesley and gave good satisfaction. This win places Atwood at the head of the district, and if our boys win out in the game with Milverton here this Thursday evening, they have the championship of this district and will enter the semi-finals. We hope to see a bumper crowd at the game here this Thursday evening. good address. He delivered a very interesting and instructive address. He did not abuse the Roman Catho- lie Church, of which he was a priest for eleven years, but be set forth in plain and forcible language what he considered to be some of the wenk- nesses of that Church. He wis edu- cated and brought up as a Roman Catholic, attended a Roman Vatholic school from the age of seven till he was 24; he was then ordained as a priest and for eleven years performed his priestly functions with utmost zeal and faith. After about two years doubts began to assai! him, and he went to an elderly priest and told hiin his troubles. This priest told him that he too had had the samo doubis but that they were from Satan. That he mist go back to his work and live and die a good Catholic. For nine more years Mr. Fournier did so, but at last could @mdure it no longer and there and then embraced the Protes- tant faith. This was two years ago, and that moment was the happiest event in his life. He also gave an interesting account of the organiza- tion of the Grand Ligne Mission, the splendid work it has done, and the grand success attending the efforts of the Baptist Church to eyangeliza French Canada. A silver collection was taken up in aid of the Grand ! ; Ligne Mission. eee rereheeeeeieesteeereetiis SS Sana beh bt Remarkable [nvention FOR THE Culture scientific and hy free and norma minute bl to the roota, the growth of hair. 60 DAYS' trial.
