The patient was thought to be in a critical. condition, but is doing as well as could be ex- pected under the circumstances being carefully watched by the family doc- tor and an attentative nurse, Migs Brown of Monkton. Twenty Year Anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Seiler of the 14th. con. Elma, were the host and host- ess at an enjoyable gathering on New Years evening it being the occassion of the anniversary of their- marriage which was performed in Berlin twenty years ago. A sumptuous dinner was seryed at at five o'clock, Messrs. H. Smith and J. Quipp being caters. The top of the cake which graced the table was the same ad'that which capped the wedding cake twenty years ago. Guests were present from Atwood, Newry, Monkton, Rostock and the surrounding neighborhood. The even- ing was spent in tipping the light fantastic to the sweet strains of the yiolins played by Messrs. Huston and Smith.
