What a man says under the intoxi- eation of Love should be taken with a grain of salt. The Mirror scribe was in an uptown_ office the other day when a comparatively new groom phoned "wifey dear." Well, yes, we should say that they had not reached the stage when they were too busy to eall each other between breakfast and lunch, and that will come. But it is said such things often happen. Indeed ac- cording to Arnold Bennet, it is hoped such. a time never married people only take love very seriously for three years after marriage, and that 50 percent. of married people be- come entirely indifferent. However, it was late in the morning when--,the new husband, called his home and his beloved evidently had not gotten down stairs. Whatever hubby said over the phone caused her some annoyance, but we presume it was that she was sleeping too long. Finally she informed Hubby that he had promised her before they were married that she could stay in bed in the mornings as long as she liked.
