This society does quite a little to- wards beautifymg our city, as the large bed of cannas on Downie street, by the tracks, is planted by the soc- iety and is one of the beauty spots of the city, taking up the space formerly occupied by bill boards and an old building. The large oval bed at the intersection of Cambria and West Gore streets and the four beds by Pounder Brothers' factory on Cambria streret, are also planted by the soc- iety. The membership is now about 600, which speaks well for the inter- est displayed in this line of endeavor by the employees.
