MARRIAGE OF MISS WINNIFRED MACKENZIE, M.Sc. Niece of Rev. Geo. A. Mackenzie, Con- gregational Minister of This City From "The Wembley Observer and Gazette," England, March 4th, 1927.) An interesting wedding was solem- nized on Saturday at the Alperton Baptist Church, when Miss Winnifred A. Mackenzie, M.Sc., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie, of 50 Elm road, was married to the Rev. G. Rupert T. Tyrrell, of the Baptist Missionary So- ciety in the Belgian Congo. 'The Rev. E. F. Piggott officiated, assisted by the Rev. W. Peebles-Fleming, of Stoke Newington, and the Rev. L. F. Webb. The bride, accompanied by her father, looked extremely attractive in her wedding dress of white georgette, with veil headdress and wreath, and pink carnations formed her bouquet. Two bridesmaids attended her, the Misses Kathleen I. Mackenzie (her sister), and Lizzie Van Rossum (her cousin), and they wore dresses of geeorgette of a delicate pink hue and carried bouquets of mauve tulips. There was a large number of guests present at the church, and later at the Wesleyan Church Hall, where the re- ception was held. The principal toast 'was proposed by Sir ohn Russell, of Rothamsted Laboratory, Harpenden, under whom the bride had recently been engaged as statistician. Mrs. Tyrrell will return with her husband ,to the Congo and will assist him in his missionary work early in May. The honeymoon is being spent at Bournemouth and on the Continent. Mrs. Tyrrell is a first cousin to Miss Elizabeth Mackenzie, formerly of this city but now also a missionary in Portuguese Africa. FOR CORNS & CALLOUSES JOHNSTON'S ¥ CALLOUS.
