THE MIRROR Local Interest SMITH-MICKLE NUPTIALS Two popular citizens of Stratford Was made one this week when Miss Aillie Mickle, former superin- tendent of the Stratford General Hos- pital became the bride of Dr. David Smith. W.| C. A. for many years. Their friends will wish them the best of happy married life in all sincerity. Bought Eggs and Resold Them to Buy Gasoline My kingdom for a horse. A Strat- ford man whom we heard about the other day didn't offer his kingdom for a horse, but he hadn't a nickel left with which to buy gasoline, and would have given a kingdom for a few gal- lons. Instead of sitting in his car and waiting for the ravens or some- thing else to provide it--he went to the corner grocer and bought on credit several dozen eggs. These he took to a near-by house and sold at a few cents less than regular price in order to make a quick sale, which he did. Through this means he was able to buy enough gas for his regular Sunday trip. The Elks in Petersburg are soon to open up a new dining room in about 2 weeks, and will be ready for ' all appointments at any time. Meals | served at all hours.
