They are Clarence (Dolly) Dolson, goal tender, and Harold Hicks, defense player. It was rumored the Detroit Cougars of the Natioan] Hockey son and Manager Roy Brothers set the price of $10,000. While these negotiations were under way the Ma- roons made the purchase. The price which the Maroons paid for Dolson and Hicks has not been announced. The Nationals will secure Freddie Brown from the Maroons. Brown was secured from Windsor in a trade for Rene Fournier by Strat- ford last season. After playing a few games for Stratford he was sent to the Maroons, where he remained for the balance of the season. It is possible Flat Walsh, who has been substitute goaltender for the Maroons, will be sent to Stratford mext season, as the Maroons have three net guardians in Benedict, Walsh and Dolson. NEW INDUSTRY WELCOME Citizens in general will be pleased to learn that the Ontario Railway and Municipal Board has granted the ap- plication of Mr. C. W. Stillman of the Stillman Creameries Ltd., to use the site on Nile street at one time used for a winery. Mr. Stillman proposes to instal a plant for the manufacture of chocolate syrups, etc., which should be a welcome industry in the city. UOOK FOR MORE TRAFFIC Local merchants were very pleased to learn that the charter has been granted for a new international bridge to cross the St. Clair river from Port Huron to Sarnia. The bill passed by the House of Commons, has now received the approval of the Senate.
