A. Martyn and fine looking son Raymond, have returned to Chi- cago, after visiting in the city. On her way home she will spend a few days with Mrs. M. Wilmot, of Sagi- naw, Mich., who was formerly Miss Mary Terreberry. Mr, F. B. Hutchinson, who has been managing the Mason & Risch store here for some time has returned to Peterboro. During his stay here Mr Hutchinson made many friends in the city. His place is being taken by a well known former Stratford boy, Mr. 'Jim'? Millman, who is temporary supervising the Stratford branch. ROSS--EIDT On Saturday noon one of Stratford's most highly thought of and charming girls, Beatrice Wilhelmine, only daughter of Dr. E. H. Hidt and Mrs. Eidt, St. Vincent street, became the bride of Angus H. Ross, a highly ee- teemed and popular business man of the city. The arrangement of pink and white gladiolus and astors was unique. The ceremony was performed amid this pretty setting by Rev. C. W. DeMille, - pastor of the Central United Church. The bride, who was given in mar- riage by her father wore a lovely gown of grey georgette, fashioned with tiny pleatings and Venetian lace. She carried a bridal bouquet of But- terfly roses and __lily-of-the-valley. Little Miss Mary Nethercott played the wedding music. Mr. and Mrs. Ross left on a motor trip to Muskoka, the bride wearing for traveling a navy and beige ensemble with hat to match. On their return to the city they will take up their residence on Water street. A speaker remarked the other day that real Christianity cannot flourish in a money-mad nation. One may: ag well try to organize a building and loan society among the gypsies. DIAMOND HALL The Bracelet occupies a_ position of honor in a woman's jewel case.
