In a city where the manufac- ture of furniture constitutes such a big percentage of the industrial ac- tivity, the feeling of optimism which seems to prevail in the furniture trade at the present time is of considerable import. The more optimistic may even be moved to hum the tune of "Better Times Are Coming." Judging from the remarks of the Stratford manufacturers, the out- standing feature of the show seems to have been the business which was done with western buyers. Previous to the show, it had been the feeling that these men would-probably be in attendance but that their purpose! would be to sample rather than place | orders. were pleasantly surprised to find that | the western men had other things in| mind. While there were not as many | buyers from the West this year, the volume of business done was well up to that of last year. LIMITED Hot Shots On Sport Wednesday is not a lucky day for Stratford hockey teams; at least not _ this week.
