"Both the bride and bridegroom are popular in a wide circle of friends here, and have been valued members of the staff of the . Canadian Department Stores for some time. The bride wore a pale blue georgette frock, with white mohair hat with velvet bow. She wore white gloves and slippers of white kid. Her bou- quet was Sweetheart Roses and Lily of the Valley. -- Rev. G. Walter Schoedel performed the ceremony. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Rehkopf left on a wedding trip to Toronto, Hanover, and Port Elgin. The bride wore for travelling, a beige coat with fur trimming, and brown hat, with accessories of the same shade. Eclipse To Be Snapped ._ From Soaring Aeroplanes NEW YORK, Aug. 26.-- From an aeroplane four and a half miles above the earth three men plan to make pictures of the solar eclipse next Wednesday for the Sproul Observatory of Swarthmore Col- lege. The pictures will be taken over Derby, Vt., using special 'equipment, they hope to obtain pic- tures of the solar corona larger than it has been pictured™ before, and of the moon's shadow speeding j}outstanding in political circles, _ across the earth, a ~~ The funeral of John Rodger Mac- donald, former prominent manufact- urer and active worker in church, political and municipal affairs, was |held on Saturday afternoon from his hombe, 220 Church street. In the absence of Rev. W. S. Owen, pastor of St. John's United Church, of which the deceased was a valued member, the service was taken by a former Stratford pastor, Rev. Dr. R. Martin of St. Thomas, assisted by Rev. W. P. Byers and Rev. WD. Bell. Interment was made Cemetery. The pallbearers were Dr. J. A. Bothwell, J. C. Makins, K.C., E. J. Smith, E. Killer, J. A. McFad- gen, and L. Johnston. Many former associates of the de- ceased attended the funeral. For many years, Mr. Macdonald had been and was several times urged to contest this riding.
