Mr, Malone was named tem- porary leader following the departure of A. G. Watts for the Old Country, but on Monday night, he was named permanent leader. Few band leaders have had the long and successful experience of Mr. Malone, and the young musicians are fortunate in securing a leader with qualifications such as those of Mr, Malone, The N. T. S. S. Club held its regu- lar meeting on Monday night at the home of Miss Jean Smith, Albert Street. The evening was spent in Playing games and then a delightful luncheon was served. When a preacher makes a mistake, nobody knows the difference. When'a lawyer makes a mistake, it Was just what he wanted, because he has a chance to try the case all over again. When a judge makes a mistake, it becomes the law of the land. When a doctor makes a mistake, he buries it. I have taken the time to write them in my idle moments. --B.E. Milk furnishes more than 50% of the day's essen- tial needs at less than one-quarter of the cost of the entire menu. + If we notice little pleasures, As we notice little pains; If we quite forget our losses And remember all our gains; If we looked for people's virtues And their faults refuse to see, What a comfortable, -happy, Cheerful place this old world would be. The Mirror does not know who "B. E," the contributor of these thoughts really is, but we are glad that she has made such good use of a few idle moments. We know our readers will appreciate her efforts and hope that the muse will again find the writer in a responsive mood, -- When you "build your nutritional needs around milk" you are simply putting a scientific fact into practical use each day. If you plan your food purchases to get the most value for each dollar, include plenty of milk. At breakfast table one morning I was reading in the paper where a couple in Colorado were buried in a snowdrift for eighteen hours, and I said to the waitress: "How would you Silverwood's Stratford Dairy Limited Phone 770 L. A. Wallis, Manager a snowdrift with your sweetie?" And all she said was: "Say, if me and my sweetie was buried in a _ snowdrift, we'd be swimmin' in twenty minutes." oo a a --"Crown of Baltimore."| Wife: "Oh, Ronald, I dropped my| Wife: "Mrs. Jones has had seven: diamond ring off my finger, and I/new hats the last year, and I've had can't find it anywhere." only one.
