The exercises were held at the bandstand in Lakeside Park, and were attended by many friends of the young Tadies, D. M. Wright, member of the House of Com- mons for North Perth, was chairman. The speakers of the afternoon were Fred Sanderson, member for South Perth, and Rev. F. G. Lightbourn, rec- tor of St. James' Church. Pulpit of Central Church An old friend and former pastor, Rev. Capt. J. W. Magwood of Wood- stock, waS the guest speaker for the anniversary of Central United church 3unday School on Sunday. About hree hundred members of the Sunday School attended the' service. The 3$choel] chorus and primary depart- ment chorus were sung by members of the Sunday School alone. Lorne Small played a violin solo in place of the 'sual organ offertory. Arthur Walkom sang a vocal solo. Capt. Magwood was accompanied on the platform by L. E Doherty, super- 'ntendent of the Sunday School, H. G. Manning, and F.. E. Masen. Capt. Magwood also occupied the nulpit for the evening service. A quartette which sang capably was eomposed of A. T. Perth County Councillors To Have An Outing Perth County Councilors and offic- ials, with their wives and families, are going to have an outing on June 20. They will be guests of Warden W. F. Dalling at a picnic on his farm. The idea of a picnic was suggested by Reeve Leinweber of South Easthope, and the Warden immediately extended the invitation. : A committee which has been named to make arrangements for the outing is composed of Reeves W.
