From 8:15 until 8:35, there will be 600 seats for ticket hold- ers, and 400 seats for those without tickets. After 8:35, all remaining seats will be open alike to those with or without tickets. Have a small shelf or box for spices, soda, salt, baking powder, etc., to save minutes digging them out from among the general supplies. 3. Hang much-used equipment on hooks on the walls or sides of cup- boards. 4. Have partitions or small boxes in drawers to divide them into compart- ments for gadgets. 5. THE STRATFORD MIRROR Quickly Prepared Meals © When Housecleaning Quick Meat Pie with Biscuit Rings 2 cups cooked diced meat, lamb, (beef, veal or pork) 1 tablespoon flour 1 onion ,sliced 3 tablespoons mild-flavored fat 1% cups mixed diced cooked pota- toes and carrots 1 teaspoon spicy meat sauce % teaspoon salt 1% teaspoon pepper 1 cup water (or vegetable stock) Mix meat with flour and brown with onion in hot fat. Add vegetables, seasonings and water. Cover and sim mer 10 minutes. Pour into casserole, cover with partly baked tea biscuit rings (top side down). Finish bak- ing in a hot oven, 400 deg. F., for 12 to 15 minutes. Six servings. (If desired, 1 can of vegetable soup and % cup of water may be used in place of the cooked vegetables and the cup of water or stock). Tea Biscuit Rings: Roll biscuit dough to a thickness of % inch. Cut with a doughnut cutter. Bake for 8 minutes in a hot oven, 400 deg. F, then use as directed above. Fruit Bisk Pour canned fruit into a saucepan, bring to boiling point. Place left-over tea biscuits on fruit. Cover and let stand until biscuits are thoroughly heated. Serve hot with fruit as sauce. The syrup may be slightly thickened first with a little corn starch if desired. Creole Potato Salad 3 cups diced cooked potatoes 2 tablespoons minced onion 1 tablespoon minced green pepper % cup finely diced celery 1 hard-ooked egg, chopped 1 tablespoon chow-chow or piccalili 5 tablespoons salad oil 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 teaspoon salt % teaspoon pepper Combine ingredients in order given and toss lightly, using two forks.
