Listowel Man Loses Sister— Fordwich Record—On Wednesday last there passed away to ‘her re- ward, at the home of her daughter at Staten Island,: New York, | ! i Catherine McLeod, a pioneer af How- ick, and relict of the late Murdoch McLeod. Death was caused by pneu- monia, with which she was ill for over two weeks. Deceased was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and came to Canada when in her ‘teens. Her maiden name was Catherine Keith. About a year ago she left her old home on the 11th. con..to spend the remainder of her days with her daughter, Mrs. Nims, at Staten Is- land, She is survived by four sons and two-daughters, viz: John in Van- couver, Jim at Excell, Alta:; Norm- an, near Clifford; Leslie, at home; Mrs. Nims and Mrs. Davies,#both at Staten Island. Two daughters, Miss Anna and Mrs. Robert Har- kess, predeceased her during the past two years. She is also survived by one brother, William Keith, of Listowel, and three half.sisters, one in Wingham, one in Kitchener and one in the West.
