SMITH Hazel (Kate) Evelyn - It is with deep sadness that the family announce the loss of our beloved "Momma•, softly and gently, in her sleep, at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, June 5, 1991. She was in her 84th year and the dear wife of the late James Sidney Smith; dearly loved mother of Betty Peters, Elaine Hill, Roger and Sara, Gary and Shirley, Neil, Rolly and Myrna, Irma and Tom Martin, Wendy and Bill Montour, Paul and Carol, Jewel and Ralph Sowden. Gramma Kate will be greatly missed by 35 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson, Anthony; sister of Edith, Norma, Ruby, Jean, Sam, Blanche, Chuck, Lloyd, Eva and Carol; also survived by many nieces and nephews; predeceased by five grandchildren; sister, Clara and brothers, Scottie, Les, Peter and James. The family will receive friends at the Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken on Thursday, June 6, with evening prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, June 7 at 2 p.m. Interment at St. Paul's Church, Sour Springs Road.
