ELLIOT (Davis - At the Wingham and District Hospital, on Thursday, April 14, 1977, Following a brief illness, Vera Evelyn Davis beloved wife of William A. Elliot, 330 Shuter Street, Wingham; dear mother of Linda Marie Elliott, London, Ontario; sister of Miller Davis of Wingham, and Mrs. E. Muriel Bildfell of London; predeceased by a sister Dorothy Jean Davis (1930). Mrs. Elliott was born in Brantford, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Davis (Dr. Davis was for many years on the staff of Lady Willingdon Hospital, Ohsweken). She received her education in Toronto and taught school at Ohsweken until her marriage there in June, 1947. Moving to Wingham the same year she then taught at Wingham Public School until her retirement in June, 1973. Funeral service and interment took place in Wingham.
