Six Nations Natural Gas Company set for expansion BJ Leigll Thomas OHSWEKEN -- Canada's first gas utility built entirely from the ground up by a First Nations is set for expansion this year. The Six Nations Natural Gas Company, Ltd. will be growing this year and offering service to more homes. The current run from a Union Gas· system begins on Third Line, from the tracks near Highway 6 to Chiefswood Road. From there = the pipes run north along Chiefswood Road into the village of Ohsweken, south along Chiefswood Road to Sour Springs Road, west along Sour Springs Road to the boundary of Six Nations. There is a small arm of pipe from Third Line, north on Onondaga Road to Fourth Line which continues east on Fourth Line to Skylite Plaza at Cayuga Road, servicing the plaza The expansion will begin "hope- fully" in June says General Manager, Nick Pe truzzella, depending on the weather.
