"Country Blues Band Has First Single Record"

OHSWEKEN - The first single from country blues band. The Breeze, will blow into record stores next month.

The 45-rpm record will feature two of the band's original songs, Baby, You're My Good Thing and I've Been Crying in My Sleep. Both songs were written by the band's lead vocalist Murray Porter.

The all-native Breeze began four years ago. Along with Mr. Porter, its current members are Jeff Read, brothers Randy and Jason Miller, Oren Doxtator and Steve Thomas.

The band plays mostly country blues with some blues rock mixed in. Its sound comes from guitars, piano and harmonica.

The group is trying to enter the mainstream. They performed with rock great Bo Diddley at a St. Catharines club this week.

They have cut a LP at Solid State Recording Studios in Cainsville, which will be remixed before its release.
