"Volunteers Aid Six Nations"

- Volunteers aid Natives
While native activists have been protesting with blockades and challenges to government authority this summer, there's been a quiet revolution of a different kind on several Canadian Indian reserves.
One of the prayers in this not-so-publicized activity is Bill Wilburn, 59, a retired banking executive from Toronto who has been working with native band councils in Northern Ontario.
He and several other retirees with experience in management training and business administration have been chosen by various band councils to help set up an orderly structure so the bands can eventually realize self-government.
