- A fresh look: Howard Thomas, president of the Veterans Association on the Six Nations Reserve, fusses with the new flowers at Six Nations Veterans Memorial Park in Ohsweken, Mr. Thomas co-ordinated work on the park. New brick walkways and lights were part of the $25,000 renovation. The park is dedicated to veterans, especially those from the reserve, of the two world wars and the conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. Veterans will parade to the park Oct. 25 for a service. They also are planning their own Remembrance Day service on Nov. 11.
