ALL ONTARIO INDIAN HOCKEY TOUR1JAMEriT \-Jon by Six Nat ions Last Saturday at Strathroy - the games played by the Six Nat ions against Oneida in the semi- fianls, then against Sarnia in the finals was indeed typical of the Russian- Canadian ones with all· the clash and rugged."less_ of the N .H. L. thrown in for good measure. The goal keeping on both teams was superb and al l teams are to be commended in this department. The one- sided scores in bo t h games does not take away the lustre nor the glory of the performances of any of the t eams, nor does it indicate how bitterly each score was earned. In the game against·Oneida 1 the scoring honours went to the following players: Albert Porter, Randy Hill 7 Victor Porter, Brian Martini Jim (Squire) Hill, Gaylord Powless, Bill (Squire) Hill. They all scored one each, for a total of seven. Oneida failed to score. The goal- keeping honours went to Ed. Staats and Gil Martin. They just simply could not be beaten! In the final game, the Six Nations ing won scoring honours: Gaylord Powless Steve Smith 2; Clifford Lickers 1 ,Jr. 2j won over Sarnia by a score of 17-6. The follow- 3; Bill Hill 3; Randy Hill 3; Rolly Smith 2; Allen Lickers l _. · To pick out "The Three Stars ~" in this finai game would, indeed·, be difficult to doL It would be much easier to pick out a star for each player and then, quickly walk away. The older members of the Six Nat ions deserve "warm handsi1 for their solid hockey head work, their fine defensive work, their stick- handling and·! the way they still \. "throw their bodies arou.nd. ;; Congratulations to you all for bringj_ng more honours back to your selves and to your people.
