Russell Garlow were presented with ru1 Agricultural Service Diploma in recognition of their un- tiring efforts for the Agricultural Society. Chief Richard Isaacs added congrat~lations. Easter Sunrise Service A large gathering attended the annual :Saster Sunrise 3ervice at Grand River United Church. The POrter 0uartet rendered two impressive numbers in Li:ohawk. Nr. & Hrs . Fred Hill, Ohsweken, with guitar accompru1iment, rendered sacred duetts. The sacrament of Holy Baptism was included in the service and Eiss Barbara i_artin and Mrs. Eldon Hill joined the Church Fellowship. Follo,ring the service , all enjoyed an old-fashioned farmer's breakfast served by the U.,C.W. ladies in the basement of the church. · The Q-rand :River Choir took part in the East er Service at Delaware Church at 10:00 A.ls.1 , The ~egular Easter Service at Grand River was held at 11:30 A.ii. many visitors attend- ed from afar. The choir rendered the anthem BAwake, Thou That Sleepest. 11 A'trio con1posed of Lrs. Norma Davis, ·hiss i'1uriel Lickers and Liss Dorothy Ivlartin gave a beautiful rrndition of "Take Up Thy Cross." Following the service , the Sunday school children participated in an exciting Easter egg hunt on the church lawn. A wonderful Easter morning! . . Revival }foeting The Supday evening Revival Eeeting at .the new Six Nations Pentecostal Church was largely attended. Rev . . Daniel Butler opened the meeting. _ _ r-ir. Joseph Gilbert, Walpole Island evangelist, delivered the exhortation. Er. Lennox Taylor, i -alpole, led the singing. The Earl Sault trio contributed vocal numbers. The six-member string orchestra, l ed by hr. Jesse Porter, played the hymn accompaniment with Ivirs. liax General at the piano. The Indian singers gave two numbers in harmony. The Ohsweken girls 1. quintet also sang a number in harmony. The beauty of the Pentecostal service is that all are involved. Even the tiny tots were able to clap in rhythmtothe hymns and choruses. · All with musical ability bring.:.their instruments to add to the congregational sing.:. ing. A very joyful meeting. h eetings will continue until April 20th. Sports 'l'he Six Nations School: Boy Novice Hockey Team_ cleaned up and won the Ontario Rural Hockey Championship at the recent tournament in Galt. Congratulations to the team and coaches. The Pee- wees were tied with Schomberg for the Ontario Pee..:.wee Championship 2-2. The final game was played at the North Park Collegiate Arena ·on· Thursday, April 11th. Th·e score was 4-2 in favour of Schomberg.
