YuRK A group of teenage girls, aged 15-18, from the Reserve and from the Brantford Y.M. - Y.W.C.A. '_ s ·tE;l~m Clubs are planning a special project to promote better understanding and brotherhood between the Teens from Six Nations and New Credit Reserves and the city. The group will be spending two and a half days at the · 11Y11 8s Camp Ruddy discussing sucq topics as current events, social problems, education, religion and cultural differences. They will then travel to New York where they will spend three days visiting the United Nations and a number of the other attractions of the city. Upon their return they will spend one and a half days at Camp Ruddy discussing their trip and evaluating their project. This project is being sponsored by the Y.M. - Y.W.C.A. with the assistance, in the forni of a travel grant covering half of the travel expenses, from the Dept. of the Secretary of State. The girls will be raising the balance of the money for the trip by holding various fund raising projects. The first of these projects is a Bingo to he held on Thursday April 25 at New Credit Rumpus Hall. There will also be a Bake Sale Hay 4 at New Credit Rumpus Hall, and a .Bake Sale and a car wash in Brantford the first two week- ends in May. Six Nations News Announcement The 14th Annual Indian Conference at Five Oaks, Paris, Eay 3, 4, and 5, 1968. This Conference is for Indians in London, Toronto, Hamilton and Bay of Quinte Conferences of the United Church of Canada. There will be: Good Fellowship Inspiring Messages Frank Discussions Fine Recreation and The Usual Nourishing Meals Plan now to attend. Discuss it with your minister. Hho may attend? Any person from an Indian Charge in Ontario who is 16 years of age or over. The Cost Owing to increased costs at Five Oaks the total cost will be $12.00 in 1968, per capita. Leaders will include: Rev. E. M. Joblin - Board of Home Missions Rev. ·Geo. Young - Five Oaks Rev. S. L. Tose - Paris Rev. F. E. Kempling- Sarnia, and others. The Program Friday evening - all delegates will meet in the New Hall for a special program which will be new and interesting. Saturday - all day. Two committees - Junior and Senior - are arranging programs for each group. You will be given detailed plans on arrival. Sunday Reserves will meet in groups for an hour. The Service of Dedication at 11:00 A.M. in the New Hall. If you play a musical instrument, bring it with you and share your talent with the group.
