- Six Nations newspaper wins award
The Turtle Island News has been named the best native weekly newspaper in North America.
Based on the Six Nations - New Credit reserve, the paper beat more than 100 other newspapers for the Native American Journalists Association Award.
The association is comprised of 500 aboriginal journalists and broadcasters across the United States.
The Turtle Island News has only been publishing for six months.
