Betty Doxtater complained to the Ontario Human Rights Commission after a teacher made advances to her
OHSWEKEN - A Six Nation woman has received $2,000 after complaining to the Ontario Human Rights Commission that she was sexually harassed by her teacher at Mohawk College about two years ago.
The college also has given $700 to a Hamilton women's group and has agreed to hold training programs for its staff on sexual harassment and the Ontario Human Rights code.
"It's like having restored dignity," said Betty Doxtater, clutching the final agreement in her hand.
