Six Nations Personals (cont'd) Mr. Murray Henhawk is steadily improving in health after a serious attack of spinal meningitis. Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Robertson (nee Dianne Smith) returned to Ajax last Thursday after a trip to England and the continent. Two Associated Country Women of the World (Women's Institute) Mrs. J. C. Tjaden and Mrs. C.J. Dykstra, Bloemen Daar, the Netherlands, spent the weekend at Grand River, the guests of Mr. & Mrs. J.C. Hill. The A.C.W.W. from 11 nations are on tour and will meet in conference in Lansing, Mich. The two Dutch ladies visited district historic sites and left to join the group for a trip to Niagara Falls. Members of the local Women's Institute who are delegated to attend the A.C.W.W Convention in Lansing in Sept. are Mrs. Peter Vanevery, Mrs. Leah Powless and Mrs. Earl C. Jamieson. Mr. & Mrs. Vincent Hill & family, Niagara Falls, N. Y. spent the Labour Day weekend at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Peter Vanevery. Recently Mr. & Mrs. Hill had the distressing experience of lightning striking their home during a storm while the family watched television, windows were smashed and considerable damage occurred to their home, but miraculously all escaped injury. They are residing in a motel until the house is completely restored. Miss Roberta Hill returned to her home at Greenwood, Ont. on Sunday after spending the month of August visiting her family at the home of Mr. Wm. Smith, R.6 Hagersville. Roberta is in her final year at high school. Mrs. Hank Peters and her guests, Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Hagler, attended Sunday morning service at Grand River. Johnny McNaughton sang a solo "Take A Little Time to Pray." Mrs. S.A. Anderson left for Rochester N. Y. on Monday for a week's visit at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Cathay. Rev. & Mrs. T. Morikawa & family returned to Ohsweken after a month's vacation in Bracebridge. Mr. Morikawa said they received the two late strike issues of Tekawennake while on vacation and enjoyed them none-the-less. Mrs. Dolores Isaacs & family, Buffalo, N.Y. spent a week's vacation with parents, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Miller Ohsweken. Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Miller & family, Rochester, N.Y. spent a few days vacation with parents Mr. & Mrs. Tom Miller Ohsweken. Peter Miller, Ohsweken, is having splendid success as a harness horse driver. He won second place at the Paris fair on Labour Day. At tho Elmira Raceway he won three firsts and was accorded an ovation by the crowd. Special greetings to all our hospital patients away from home. We hope you'll soon be back fully restored to health. Because of the large accumulation of August news it is necessary to publish the remainder in the next edition.
