Charges are pending against a Six Nations man after two people were killed and a third sent to hospital when a truck hit an ATV and dirt bike Monday night and snapped a hydro pole in two.

Six Nations Police said the driver of a white pickup truck hit a blue ATV, yellow dirt bike, and then the hydro pole late Monday night killing two youths, sending a third to hospital and knocking out hydro to the localized area.

At 9:00 p.m. Monday Six Nations Police were called to the crash at Fourth Line Road and Tuscarora Road intersection.

Police said a white GMC pick up truck was westbound on Fourth Line Road when an ATV carrying two occupants and a dirt bike with a single occupant were struck.

When police arrived paramedics were attending a young man identified as Adam Roy Todd Bain, 19, from Hagersivlle. He was taken to Hamilton General Hospital via ambulance with serious injuries. He was believed to have been on the ATV.

A second male identified as William Randy Harris, 15, of Hagersville was taken to Haldimand General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was believed to have been on the dirt bike.

Six Nations teenager, Yegwenyes "Gwen" Delta Rayne Martin, 18, of Ohsweken riding on the ATV was killed in the crash.

Police said the ATV and dirt bike were both westbound on 4th Line Road when they were struck from behind by the white GMC pickup truck. The truck continued into the ditch and collided with the hydro pole. The driver of the truck fled the scene prior to police arrival.

At about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning police arrested Travis Grant Squire-Hill 41 of Ohsweken, at a Bateman Line road residence.
