Longboat, Mary Ellen (née Mary EllenSkye) (Died)

At the Ottawa General Hospital, surrounded by her loving children to the end, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, sister, and nana, Mary on December 1, 2014, in her 63rd year. Predeceased by parents Isabella and Howard Sky Jr., brother Gary, son Montgomery, Aunts Rita (Vyse) and Beulah (Nanticoke). Survived by her Sister Cindy (Tony), children – Kerri (Bird), Paula, Shelly (Rob), Pat, and Uncle, Joe Skye. Mary also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary dedicated the past 8 years of her life working at Minwaashin Lodge in Ottawa as a Family Support Worker and will be sadly missed by many colleagues. Resting at her sister’s home 2703 Oneida Rd., Six Nations after 12 noon on Wednesday. Funeral Service and Burial will be held at Onondaga Longhouse on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11 am.
