- CARPENTER: George L. "Geordie" Suddenly at his home on Monday January 21, 2002 Geordie Carpenter in his 70th year of Six Nations. Beloved husband and best friend for 47 years to Shirley (Bomberry) Carpenter. Loving best dad of Sharon and Kelvin Skye, Cindy, Tony and Maureen, and Suzy all of Ohsweken. Dear papa of Summer, Samantha, Sarah, Rachel, Jill, Melissa, William, Joshua, Norma-Jean, Matthew, Ken, and Meaghan. Dear great grandpa of Bailey, Kayla, Mason, Fiona, and Preston. Brother of April and Hughie Butler, Don and Shirley, and Albert and Tracy. Brother-in-law of Bill and Marge, Ken and Anne, Russ and Yvonne, and Sandra and Pete. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Patty, parents Gord and Marj, sisters Shirley and Freda, and a brother Bill. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Six Nations on Sunday January 27, 2002 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Katherine Loynd officiating. Interment of Cremated Remains to follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Christ Church, or the West Haldimand General Hospital.
