- Masters: Ann
Mrs. George Masters, well known resident of Stratford for the past 27 years, died Tuesday night at the home of her son, Major J.T. Masters 685 Ontario street. Mrs. Masters who was 72 years of age, died following an illness which had extended over a period of about one year. Born in Northampton, England, she was formerly Miss Ann Collins, a daughter of the late John and Emma Collins. She was married to George Masters in England 51 years ago and they came to Stratford 27 years ago. She has lived here ever since. Her husband, former bandsman in the 110th Battalion here, died in 1925. Mrs. Masters was an Anglican by faith but of late years she had been active in the work of the Salvation Army Corps in Stratford. Surviving are two sons, Major J.T. Masters, 685 Ontario street; Frank Masters, 243 Queen street; one daughter Mrs. Annie Peake, 333 Ontario street; one brother, John Collins, Stoke Bruen. England; and one sister Mrs. Elizabeth Bonham, Northampton, England. There are also five grandchildren.
