Description
SCOPE AND CONTENTS

This series is comprised of academic calendars. The calendars include listings of the Board of Trustees (later the Board of Governors), Officers, faculty and students (student lists ended after the 1952/1953 issue, the year the College separated from the High School). The calendars also include college regulations, admission requirements, registration information, fee schedules, course descriptions, extra-curricular activities, student services, awards, and scholarships. Early issues up to the mid-1930's also include a list of graduates or a photograph of the graduating class. Most issues also include campus photographs.

Beginning in the academic year 2008/2009 SJU calendars were only available on-line at the St. Jerome's University website.

There is one subseries: 1) University of Ottawa academic calendars.

Notes
The earliest issue, ca. 1870, is in German.;
Early issues to the mid-1930's are in fragile condition.
Holdings are incomplete; the 2 earliest issues are undated.

One copy of the calendar for 1962/1963 includes newspaper clippings about St. Jerome's first year in operation federated with the University of Waterloo.

There are some duplicate copies on the Bookshelf.

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
