ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY

The Catholic Identity Committee, also known as the Catholic Identity Group, was an ad-hoc subcommittee of St. Jerome's College Council. This representative committee was struck by the Steering Committee in 1994 to set up discussion sessions on Catholic identity, an issue arising out of meetings by the Steering Committee to consider the Catholic identity of the college given the work then being done in forming a mission statement. The committee provided opportunities for the college community to reflect on its collective identity, values, and how to live them out in making day-to-day decisions. The committee was active until the end of 1998.
