- ADMINISTRATION HISTORY:
At the May 28th, 1987 meeting of the Board of Governors, an ad hoc committee was struck to organize an orientation meeting to provide information to new and returning Board members. The committee recommended general topics to be addressed and the orientation meeting that was finally arranged was held on the evening of September 24th, 1987.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS:
This subseries is comprised of a precis of the meeting of the Orientation Committee held June 27, 1987 and a memo, dated September 11, 1987, outlining the general topics to be addressed at the Board of Governors'orientation meeting which was held September 24, 1987.

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
