- ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY
Formally mandated in 1977 the Library Committee is an advisory body to the Librarian. It assists the Librarian in developing programs and services to enhance students'learning and to support the teaching activities of St. Jerome's. It also aids in formulating policies regarding library materials, equipment, and services. Membership of the committee consists of the Librarian who chairs the committee, two members of the faculty elected annually by the faculty and one member of the staff, elected annually by the staff.In addition there is one student member selected annually by the Students'Union.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
This series of records for the Library Committee includes a list of committee members for 1999-2000, a handwritten, tentative agenda, and the Librarian's report to College Council on St. Jerome's University Library and Information Resources for the years 2001 to 2006.

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
