- ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY
Begun in 2005/2006 the Beyond Borders program provides educational and service experiences for undergraduates interested in putting their education to use in the pursuit of a more just and peaceable world. There are four components to the program: intellectual training (three term courses and practical training seminars); immersion experience in other cultures; reflection; and re-integration and expression.
Service Learning at St. Jerome's has expanded to include Beyond Borders, SJU in Peru, Encounter KW, and Minka.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
This series is comprised of correspondence, announcements, publicity brochures, a publicity poster, outlines of the programs, news from students on-site, testimonials, and a copy of the Fall 2007 newsletter, "Crossroads".

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
