- ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY
The Students' Union is the independently incorporated organization of student government at St. Jerome's. All students who are registered at St. Jerome's are eligible for membership in the Students' Union. The Students' Union primarily exits to serve all students of St. Jerome's and to respond to any of their concerns. The Students' Union acts as a liaison between the administration and the students. It facilitates social events and information sessions and sponsors activities which promote student participation.
The Students' Union council is made up of five executive officers (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Social Convenor), and a number of student representatives. By 2013 the Executive Officers were the President, the Vice-President and Administrative Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, the Human Resources Officer, and the Public Relations Officer.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The records for the Students' Union include Constitutions, minutes of meetings, invitations to Student Union sponsored events, a newsletter, elections, correspondence, handbook, and some fundraising records, and a Time Capsule put together to commemorate St. Jerome's 125th Anniversary, 1989-1990 (it was opened in February, 2016 during the 150th Anniversary celebrations).

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
