The Bridges Lecture Series was inaugurated in 2011 and is sponsored by St. Jerome's University and the Canadian Mathematical Society. The lecture series aims to overcome the gap between Mathematics and the Arts, to explore the connections between Math and the deeper questions asked in the Arts, and to highlight what Mathematics can contribute to the exploration of these questions by other scholars. Each of the public lectures is delivered jointly by a mathematician and a non-mathematician.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
This series includes copies of the St. Jerome's web pages outlining what the Bridges Lecture Series is and what the lecture schedule is for 2011, an article written by Benoit Charbonneau on the Series, memoranda, and publicity posters for the lecture series up to the present time.
