"The Unquiet Monk: Thomas Merton's Questing Faith" is a book written by Michael W. Higgins and was published in December, 2014 by Novalis Publishing Inc. in Canada and by Orbis in the United States. The book is meant to help identify the singularity of Merton's rich and sometimes controversial contributions to the intellectual and spiritual life of our time by examining his life, his poetry, his commitment to trenchant social criticism, his courageous dialogue with Eastern religion and his position as an icon of wholeness for a fractured, alienated postmodern generation.
