We are delighted to present to you an impressive slate of candidates for positions on the first alumni executive committee in the College's modern era. The call for nominations for positions on an executive committee went out in December and we are now able to present a group of candidates who have expressed their interest in working to realize this goal. They are standing for election in an effort to lay the foundation for a strong, vibrant and responsive alumni association. Now, more than ever, we need your help. Forming an alumni association which serves not only the graduates of St. Jerome's College, but ultimately its students as well, requires imagination and hard work. How can you help? We're glad you asked. First and foremost, carefully read the biographical sketches of all candidates and make your choices on the enclosed postage-paid election ballot. Send it to the College as soon as possible. Elections close Friday, May 25 at 3:00 p.m. The June issue of Update! will present the first alumni executive committee of the College's modern era. In the months to come, the executive will meet to set an agenda of goals and projects to be pursued by the alumni association. Above all, take part. Use the enclosed ballot to share your views on what an alumni association should be. Your ideas will serve as a basis for discussion and as the seeds for future alumni projects.
