ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY

The Office of Student Success (formerly the Registrar's Office) is committed to supporting students' academic success and fostering an engaging learning environment. Services include Arts Academic Support, Campus Services Referrals, Student Success Resources, and Scholarships and Bursaries. It is also responsible for secondary school liaison, the recruitment and admission of students to St. Jerome's academic programs, and the production of related publications including the St. Jerome's University calendar and recruitment material.

The Office of Student Success is accountable to the Director of the Office of Student Affairs.

SCOPE AND CONTENTS

This series consists of correspondence regarding administrative matters, programs and events sponsored by the Office of Student Success or in conjunction with other departments, including SJU Reads. There is also a report from the Registrar to College Council, pre-registration statistics for the academic years 1972/1973 to 1987/1988, admission statistics for 1962/1963 and for 1968 to 1989 as well as recruitment materials and 8 plaques.

There are 3 guest books: a) Dean's Honor List receptions, 2000-2011; b) Graduating Classes of 2007-2011; c) First Year Classes of 2003-2012.

There are 4 CD-ROMs containing recruitment materials.

This series has two sub-series:
1. Recruitment materials;
2. Student awards plaques

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
