- Item is a newsletter published by St. Jerome's University for its graduates, faculty, staff and friends. This issue includes articles on the new Master of Catholic Thought post-graduate course, on Doug Letson's retirement, a message from the President (Michael Higgins), articles on being an Academic Dean: one by outgoing Dean, Kieran Bonner, and one by incoming Dean, Myroslaw Tataryn, on the third annual John Sweeney Lecture given by Roy Romanow, on Awards Night '05, on the Ignatian Lecture given by Fr. Jim Profit, S.J., on the newly formed partnership between St. Jerome's University and Intercordia Canada which promotes cross-cultural understanding and moral responsiveness, notification on a special reunion for female frosh who were at the university from 1990 to 1993 and the reunion for grads from the 1960's together with the St. Aethelwold's Players, SJU Gallery: photographs from the Charity Run dance and from the Board of Governors social; as well as the features SJU News, Grad Notes and Continuing Connections.

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
