Ontario records were set by Alex Fedko, a Royal York Collegiate student who broke his own mark in the 400 yards individual swim (4:41); and an Etobicoke Aquatic Club relay team of girls in finish- ing second to the Toronto team. Out of town swimmers set the rest. Fedko and Shaw both won five gold medals in leading the Toronto USAC squad to the team champion- ship. Miss Angela Coughlan was a double individual winner taking the 100 freestyle in an upset over an American girl Sue Halfacre in 57.5 and added the 400 freestyle with 4:29. She then joined team-mates Joy Stratten, Merrily Stratten and Sarah Cole to set two new Cana- dian relay records. The 1967 Ontario Senior Swim- ming Championships were held in Toronto last weekend and ten new Ontario records were set, two tied, and five new Canadian marks were changed in the book.
