_ SINGLETONâ€"BAXTER Orange sets off Islington wedding Wellington United Church was the setting for the marriage on Saturday, September 9, 1967, of Jane, daughter of Mr. sand Mrs. William Singleton, Wellington, to Richard Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Baxter ofâ€" Islington. â€"â€"Standards of white and yellow gladioli and ferns decorated the church. Rev. N. Truax officiated at the ceremony and Mrs. J. Mcâ€" Neill played traditional music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fullâ€" length gown of white shantung with sealloped lace bodice and sleeves with matching train, a tiars headdress and shoulderâ€" length veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow baby roses. Mrs. Sharon Palmer of Toronto, friend of bride, was matron of honor. Miss Bev Baxter of Washâ€" ington, D.C., sister of the groom, and Miss Lynne Brew of Toronto, cousin of the bride, were bridesâ€" maids. A second mine rescue station will be built in the Sudbury mining division because of rapid expansion in the area, the Onâ€" tario Department of Mines said. The station, in the Onapingâ€" Levack community, will suppleâ€" ment an installation at the Frood Mine of International Nickel Co. of Canada Ltd. A mine rescue station is a depot for storage of rescue equipment and a training opntre for rescue workers. _____ A fieâ€"day strike by 1400 Montreal truck drivers ended yesterday.â€"when the men voted to accept an offer from their comâ€" panies of an hourly increase of 80 cents.over two years, and a shortened work week.
