This is a federal-provincial project designed to encourage students to become familiar with the community. Plans, are being made to provide the students with a luncheon in our Centennial Building. Yorkettes Majorettes Corps plans to travel to Montreal this year for the Grey Cup Parade. The corps consists of about 150 members in age brackets from 8 to 20 years. Through a combination of fund raising activities and grants the Corps hopes to raise sufficient money to finance the trip. Of particular help was the establishment of a neighbourhood information service which listened to the needs and inquiries of the ethnic groups gathered in the Borough. Many of the inquiries concerned Borough regulations related to zoning and other matters. The time and effort put into the establishment of the information service cannot be underestimated and deserves the full support of the community.
