Recreation Department is offering many special winter vacation programs for students of various ages. The majority of these program, will take place on four days; March 23, 24, 25, and M, 1970. Flyers outlining the various special activities, times, dates and locations will be distributed in all elementary and separate school grades. Five top rated colored movies such as Maya, Clarence the creis Eyed Lion, Huckleberry Finn, The Zebra in the Kitchen, and Flipper's New Adventure will be scheduled in 20 schools across the borough. The films will be shown in the afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. An admission fee of 25 cents per person will be charged. , The outdoor artificial ice rinks will be closed. However, special activities will be held in the 8 Arenas. In addition to the regular weekly schedule of pleasure skating many will enjoy the afternoon skating on March 23, M, 25, 26 and30 from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. There will be no afternoon skating at the Centennial Centre on March 23 and 24 due to the Easter Bunny Bonspiel schedule. Regular admission rates will prevail for all skating. HOCKEY Shinny hockey which is self organized by the boys attending has always been a very popular program. Boys 11 years and under are scheduled from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. and 12 years and over from10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. The dates for shinny hockey are the same as for the af- ternoon pleasure skating except when broom ball is scheduled. The regular admission rates will be charged. , Broom ball and all its' excitement and. fun will be scheduled for both girls and boys 11 years and under from 9:00 - 10:30 and 12 years and over from 10:30 - 12:00 noon. The dates and locations are indicated on the flyer. Skates may not be worn by participants in this program. There is a 25 cent charge for each participant. Brooms will be supplied. SWIMMING Cotton Tail Capers is the theme for the special swimming programs at all pools except Memorial and CW. Jefferys.
