The winner in the popular music category, Cornelia Boucher from Nova Scotia Teachers College, and Les Con- tretemps from College Jean de Brebeuf, folk music winners, also won top honors at the 1989 North American College Music Cham- pionships. _ Collegiate vocalists and musicians have until May 15 to enter the 1970 Canadian College Music Cham- pionships. Individual vocalists, vocal groups and instrumental groups from throughout Canada will be competing for national championships in popular and folk music categories. Canada's national champions will then meet winners from the United States for the North American College Music Championships. The Exhibition is being sponsored by the United Nations Club at Michael Powers, the Ontario Historical Society, and the Etobicoke Historical Society. Its purpose is to foster historical research among Ontario high school students. Judging will take place on Friday, Apr. 10 and awards in each category will be presented the next day.
