His own way Smiling Mike Janetakes is looking forward to an interesting and active creative art career in Wéston and York. A rather indirect art career has finally come full circle for Mike Janetakes. Mike, who up until recently has assisted in the family operation of Squihhs Station aires in Weston, has opened an art studio on John Street. Over the past few years, Mike has done some free lance work. and plans to expand his present operation to handle show cards, illustrations, cartoons, posters painting portraits and ii'sltrr'dltttnss. Also featured will be several of the Band's soloists. 1980 is Weston Silver Band's 60th An- niversary year and they invite their many friends to help them celebrate by enjoying an afternoon of good band music on June 8th at Little Park. Weston Silver Band's first outdoor concert of the summer will take place on Sunday June 8th at 2.30 in the Bandshell at Little Park in Weston.
